1. How do I apply for a Certificate of Airworthiness?

Answer:  Go to our Certificates of Airworthiness page for some guidance and links to the CASA Forms.

2. Is it hard to get a Certificate of Airworthiness for an aircraft?

Answer:  No. It is just a process and your CASA Authorised Person should guide you through the process. If you provide all the information asked of you then it is not difficult.

3. Can I operate my aircraft above its maximum take off weight during a ferry flight?

Answer:  Yes if you have approval from either your CASA Authorised Person or CASA. The CASA Authorised Person must have approval to grant you 10% above MTOW. Only CASA can approved operations above the 10%.
